We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Equity Sales Trader to join our dynamic team, focusing on the US equity markets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your deep market expertise and established network to drive client relationships, generate trading flow, and contribute to the success of Berenberg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing client relationships, navigating the equity trading landscape, and providing strategic insights on market developments
Responsibilities:
• Â Build on existing long term client relationships and develop new relationships with US clients, providing high value insight on equity market developments and key issues that may affect their trading strategies for the US market
• Generate new order flow in the secondary and primary markets â on existing Berenberg deals and help generate potential blocks with client order flow
• Prioritize resource allocation across clients and products to maximize revenue generation
• Serve as a key subject matter expert on US equity market dynamics, leveraging your deep understanding of market conditions to guide client decision-making.
• Required to comply with applicable regulation, including the Conduct Rules, internal policies and procedures
• Work with sales to develop client relationships across execution and content sides of the business
• Liaise and develop Berenbergâs low touch offering and our Risk Arb team to optimize execution
Qualifications:
• Significant experience (10+ years) within the equity markets
• Bachelorâs degree preferred or equivalent experience required
• Willingness to travel and actively engage with clients
• IT skills, including all standard Office applications
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration
• Demonstrated success in client relationship management with an existing robust client network
• Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high stakes trading environment
• In-depth knowledge of equity markets, trading strategies, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to discuss complex market dynamics in detail

Salary will vary based on role, education, level of experience, and expertise ranging between $175,000 to $250,000 as a base salary with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus plus comprehensive benefits package.
